EASY CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS PART 5: RED TICKING BAUBLES

Easy DIY Ticking Wrapped Baubles
OK, SO THESE ARE NOT A NEW IDEA ON THE INTERNET, BUT FABRIC WRAPPED BAUBLES ARE JUST SO DELICIOUSLY EASY!

I started with some Styrofoam balls, thumbtacks, cotton string and ticking fabric. Cut your fabric into strips about 1.5 cm wide - you could go wider if you have larger balls.

Tack the end of a fabric strip to your ball, then start wrapping - overlap each layer slightly. Now, the trick I have found is the tighter you wrap, the neater your finished bauble will look. When the entire ball is covered, secure it with another thumbtack.

Cut a piece of string, tie it in a loop and slide the loop under the tack - a dob of hot glue could be put underneath to secure everything, however mine didn't need it.

And that's it. Easy Christmas baubles. The possibilities here are endless - just change up your fabric, use pins instead of tacks, or ribbon instead of string - it just depends on the look you're going for.

Also, depending on your fabric, you can always take off the bauble hanging string and use them as vase fillers after Christmas!

All the best,

Eliza.
