THE ULTIMATE FREE PRINTABLE HOME ORGANIZER
SO HERE IS A SNAPSHOT OF WHAT'S GOING ON IN MY LIFE THIS MORNING.
Does anyone else's day begin with a jumbled, messy cloud like this? Mine does waaaaay too often to admit!
This year, one of my goals is to get my Home Organizer up and running again.
I've actually had one in various forms since about 2006, but in the last six months or so, mine has evolved into a messy stack of papers. Naughty naughty. Really, it's such a mess that I need to start it over from scratch.
And what better project to share on the blog?
For those who don't know what a Home Organizer is, (or Control Journal, Home Management Binder or whatever you prefer to call it), its basically one binder or book with everything you need to run your household.
I mean EVERYTHING. Your planner, goals, grocery and chore lists. Recipes, notes, birthday and anniversary lists. Gift ideas and party plans. Membership and account details. Plans for the garden, important contact lists, menus, beauty notes and wish lists.
You get the picture. The Home Organizer is one place where you can find everything you need easily and quickly.
For the next little while, I'll be sharing all my free printables with you so you can put a binder together and get organized too!
Before I give you the links, here are 3 quick tips to help you make your Home Organizer truly work for you.
TIP 1: IT'S YOUR ORGANIZER
So it has to work for you and your family. Just because I include a Freezer Inventory, doesn't mean you have to as well. I can say from experience, that printing out a 6 inch thick Home Organizer isn't necessarily going to make you organized. Honestly, that one just gave me a headache and was so complicated to use, I never touched it.
So less is often more. Just start slowly, and print what you need as you need it - I promise these printables will be up and available on Google Docs for ages.

TIP 2: IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE A BINDER
Many people love using A4 binders, unfortunately, I don't, so here are a few alternative formats for your Home Organizer:
- Getting the whole thing spiral bound at Officeworks into one big book
- Spiral bound into a set of books so your Organizer is more portable
- If your organizer isn't too big, a clipboard is really handy to keep it on
- Printing it onto small cards to be kept in a recipe style box
All these printables will be PDF's too, so you can easily change the size to A5 if you would like a smaller organizer (just look in the print settings panel).
TIP 3: MAKE IT BEAUTIFUL!
If you're using a binder, find a really pretty one that matches the color scheme you've chosen. Get some really lovely washi tape and treat yourself to good pens too - make your Home Organizer pretty and you'll enjoy using it every day - trust me!
